You've heard it, you've read it now let's hear what you have to say about it.  For those who don't know, GOAT stands for Greatest Of All Time.  Several magazines have already done a piece on this.  It seems that all the discussions boiled down to either the Federer Express, Pistol Pete or The Rocket.  Each of these players could be considered as the GOAT in their own right.  The prevailing determining factor for almost everyone who has a say on this seems to be who they saw at their prime against their competition.  However, even the "old timers" who saw all three perform at their prime seem to disagree.  Personally, my vote goes to Pistol Pete.  Aside from having the strokes and records to match, I'm just a fan.  As for you, who is your GOAT!

As they say at ESPN, let the debate begin!

I failed to mention. Just when you thought it was impossible, the unthinkable happened. The Federer Express was slightly derailed at the Pacific Life Open by an unseeded player - Guillermo Canas. Who would have "thunk"?

That's a tough one. In basketball, Michael Jordan is the goat in my opinion, but I never had a chance to see Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell play. Bjorn Borg was my tennis hero when I was growing up. I never had a chance to see Laver play in his prime. For me, the key question is how would the skills of these legends match up against the current greats if they use the same equipment on the same surfaces. How would the baseliners match up against the serve and volleyers. Pete is a great choice. Besides, he's from my home town.
